Get To Know Our Team!
Terra Martin, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Martin comes to us with her DVM from St George’s University Grenada, West Indies, and Louisana State University Baton Rouge, LA. She has spent years since then honing her skills and giving back to her community through Emergency Service In New York and Northern NH. She spent time in surgery assisting spay/neuter clinics in various states. One of her passions is assisting with the Feral Cat Project, and she also spent time in Grenada helping with the Ocean Spirits Leatherback Turtle Research Volunteer Program. Lucky for us, she settled in New Hampshire with her husband, son, and two cats. Dr. Martin has discovered her niche in caring for companion animals, and we are lucky to have her!
Miriam Horowitz, DVM
Medical Director
We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Miriam Horowitz to our team as the new Medical Director of Claremont Animal Hospital. Dr. Horowitz brings with her the knowledge and dedication of 13 years of emergency medicine and a background in large animal internal medicine. She has been a veterinarian for over 20 years. She is excited to return to general practice medicine, where she can connect with patients and follow them throughout their health journey, supporting them through all life stages. We are excited to have her care and confidence in our surgery suite, as she has experience in spays, neuters, and abdominal surgery.
Dr. Horowitz appreciates family life and loves coaching the ski team. She is passionate about all things goats and, recently, sheep! Basically, if it has four feet and a nose to snuggle, she is a fan. Dr. Horowitz is an accomplished hiker and has completed the Appalachian Trail more than once.
Dr. Elissa Pollak
Clinical Director
Dr. Pollak graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She participated in a one-year equine internship, where she developed a passion for equine lameness. She practices both large and small animal medicine. Dr. Pollak joined CAH in January 2015. Her interests include competitive equine 3-day events and challenging herself with personal training. She shares her home with her dog Zane, her cats; Inigo, Loki, Fezzik, Westley, Princess Buttercup, and her horses; Duncan, Little Man, and her newest addition, Theo!
